They hate other people because of their skin color, religion (or lack thereof), politics. They hate people that are more rich then them or more poor. They hate people that are not beautiful than them and people that are more beautiful. It doesn't make sense.

Fear, mostly.
Many people are full of fear - and what's different, what they don't understand, makes them angry and scared.
It doesn't "make sense" because it's not rational; it's all emotional.

Hate is an expression of Fear. Veryyyy deep fear.

The opposite of love isn't hate... it's Fear.

And when a person's thoughts, feelings and beliefs are that anything 'different' than what s/he is IS 'bad', fear takes over. So hate, prejudice, ridicule, violence.... all expressions of closed minds, hearts and attitudes.... express Fear.

Hate is Fear's venom directed at something or somebody that's different. And persons who succumb to feeling and acting out their hate do not yet understand that they are connected at their deepest Soul level to all other forms of Life.

Once 'haters' evolve consciously enough to let go of their hate, whether in this time/space reality or another, they will learn to embrace, connect with, value and Love all others and all things as wonderful expressions of themselves,

In the meantime, those of us who recognise that we are Love and who Live Love daily hold an important energy balance and help the 'Love Vibe' to strengthen, spread, envelop and transform all haters.

Keep the Love flowing.... ;-) And thanks for the GREAT question!

I think people who hate are very unhappy with themselves. Especially people who hate huge groups like religions or races. For instance, if I am full of self-loathing because I'm a crummy individual it might make me comfortable to say "But, oh, I'm white which makes me instantly better than anyone who's black." So, I can elevate myself above a huge group of people with no effort on my part. I think thats what motivates neo-nazis, etc.

Let me tell you about the people I hate. People who are lazy, expect everyone else to take care of their problems. It has nothing to do with skin color or religion.

I just hate stupid people... Oh and people who feel the need to violate my 5 feet of personal space. and restaurant workers, and sex offenders and child molestors, and my so called father and his whore and most of my family for that matter because most of them are stupid which leads me back to the whole stupid thing I started with.

There are lot's of really good reasons to hate... as long as it doesn't last or hurt anyone. It is just an expression of inner conflict or turmoil. Only weirdo's get away with managing to get through life so oblivious, that they don't hate anyone.

Did I mention, I hate weirdo's too?
