I got married here in Texas and my ex filed for divorce in Vermont. They let me do the court proceedings over the phone while they were on a speaker phone with my ex. The only way you can get an annulment is if you can prove fraud on the party you are filing against. Other than that, just get a divorce and on with your life.

You should be able to file for an annulment just like a divorce. Which means that you file in the state that you are a resident of. And in most states you have to be a resident for 6 months in order to file.

I don't know where everyone gets this misconception that you must divorce in the state that you marry in.
This is NOT true.
You divorce in the state that you are a resident of and have been for at least 6 months.
