My e-mail is full of these letters from free lotto. They say everything from we are trying to reach you . From the office of the prize controler, from free lotto head quarters ......ect

i really hate feeling stupid too, because it's a horrid feeling.

though these messages sound good, it's great that you didn't fall for them, and treated them with enough suspicion to ask another source for info on them.

i'd like to point out... that you didn't enter free-lotto, did you? so you can't win.

however, you HAVE won something from me. a smile. not refundable, nor available for trade.

It's a scam. The people say they need your checking account number to verify your identity or to send the money to. They'll say that they're from the UK or from some African country, mainly. They generally have a free e-mail address (such as from hotmail or some company you've never heard of). Sorry to tell you this, but there have been a lot of people who've been ripped off and I don't think there's any way to get your money back.

It's all a scam. Delete those emails immediately. You have not won anything in any freelotto because it doesn't exist. Ignore and delete!

Cant hurt to check it out , I have never heard of the free lotto cause everything i know about this place is ain't nothin for free.But like i said cant hurt to check it out.

None of them are true, they are scams, and will ask for personal info and your bank account# so they can use your identity and clean you out.
Most have Nigerian links. Any IM, or e-mail from a Nigerian needs to be treated with suspicion.
