The driver of that car has to be a server or bartender. I'm not racist at all, in fact, my 1st boyfriend was black, but in all honesty, I was a waitress for 10 yrs. and by far, the church crowds are the worst tippers, blacks come in 2nd. It's true, blacks don't tip very well....

It alludes to an incident that was in the news, over a year ago. I don't remember the details, but a black man who was fairly prominent in politics somewhere - maybe a mayor (?) - raised a big stink in the media about someone's having used the word, "*********." He didn't realize it simply means "stingy," and, without checking with anyone, assumed that it must be a racial slur, and tried to whip it up into a scandal, thereby displaying about the same level of consciousness as so many of the comments above, by people always so quick to cry, "Racist! Racist!"

The creator of this sticker thinks black people dont tip well I guess. Pretty straightforward generalization. I guess I'd find this irritating if I was black & I did tip well. Is it true that blacks tip less than whites in general? I have no idea.

It's an old waitstaff stereotype. I've heard many waiters and bartenders say this very thing - plus many other things about other races. It comes with the territory and location especially in higher racist/immigration places (eg. Miami/Ft. Lauderdale).
When I lived in Ft. Lauderdale - I always chucked it up to differing cultures and information since there were so many tourists and immigrants. My husband always said I was naive in thinking that folks didn't know what they were doing. I always thought it was better to give benefit of the doubt then to give in to generalizations.

Black people have a reputation of not tipping, or not tipping a lot. This may be a stereotype, but I wouldn't know if there is any degree of truth to it or not. It is a "server" saying "I don't like you - not because you are black, but because you don't tip me". Again, it may be unfair - I can't say as I really don't know.

As a Black person, the most I can say is that I do tip. But not according to the 10-15% ratio that servers expect.
I feel that a server should be tipped based on the service given to the patrons and not what they feel is owed to them.
Many times when I go out to eat the servers are polite and do in fact deserve a tip, but if they breathe down my neck, don't refill beverages when asked or give the impression that they are uninterested in doing their job, they shouldn't expect to be tipped for just serving you.
And as for Black people not tipping, I don't know where that came from. I have a miriad of friends, Black, White or whatever and most of them don't tip because the servers are slack in doing their job, not because of the race of the person(s) being served!

Borders on racism...but the idea is that people aren't getting service because of the color of the skin, but because they are cheap and don't tip. Bartenders are slow to return to those patrons who don't tip.
Let me guess, you saw this in a southern redneck state? Did the car also have a "W" on it? I guess the good in all this is that you didn't understand it...

Its a racist statement implying that black people get poor service because they don't tip generously.

It means the person who was driving the car was not only an ignorant racist, but that they had a poor command of English, too! It should be "you're" (the contraction of 'you are') not "your" (meaning 'Belonging to you')!
