Does anyone know the answer to this riddle?

i have a riddle 4 u

theres a man and a women on vacation
the man finds a dead body
calls the police..........and the police asks
"why r u reporting this now

(remember this was 2 mnths b4 the man called the police)

Dead body? Body of what? A fish, an animal (other than human, that is)?

Because it was his wife he was taking on vacation, and he just noticed she'd been dead for 2 months.
