.......of a picture of your "life".....what are some things you would be sure to include in your painting....? Something that says "who you are".
Me......? Personally, I would have to include family members, music notes, artists pencils, and a beautiful red sunset.......
Now your turn..........Have fun!

Hi there! ...To comment on the first answer given.... maybe if you did do a painting of your life( or an abstract) you might discover things about you , you never knew...that in itself (that you chose an abstract to describe yourself) could be a beautiful thing... not always a distraction. **Just my opinion. (It's always worth the effort.)

I would have a large, old wooden table on a verandah set with many places for family and friends. The chairs would all be timber, but in different styles, different ages, different colours, to represent the many contrasts in my life. The colours in the painting would be rich and warm - wines, burgundies, deep moss greens, golds...... The mood would be relaxed, warm, earthy and welcoming. A child's swing hanging from a tree would be visible in the background, and a guitar would stand in the corner. Picasso's painting of mother and child would hang on the wall, beside a bookshelf overflowing with books.

It would showcase a perched, screaming rhamphastid, and through it there would wind bars of linked, evolving avian chromosomes, as music winds through some pictures;
some open novels with large, bold favorite passages on the pages;
and in one corner, my face kissing the hooked bill of a sweet Grey bird face, at the end of a long, Grey neck (my Timneh Grey);
children risking skinned knees to play and singing with no inhibition;
dramatic cartoon depictions of tragedy;
and all of the blackly funny illustrations drawn by Kurt Vonnegut, from every book including them

Good question -- fun and interesting to think about.
I would include pottery of some kind, because I work with clay as a hobby. There would be books and something to represent film to reflect those interests.
I'd use a lot of red for anger and pain and in another place blues and greens for quiet contemplation.

Probably paint myself as a tiger, carrying my cub upon my mouth while crossing a not-so-rough shallow river. The sky is cloudy and about to rain hard. Across the river is my anxious partner -- as if she's worried we won't make it back to our shelter before it rains.
Hmmm... some bad painting huh?

mine's gonna be a little dark but it has the presence of light
in it.it's a little bit abstract for some reasons but if you look at the
big picture, you will see the real meaning.gotta have some elements of music in there too.well, i think that's pretty much it.
good question.
