Did you had any chemicals to the water in the bigger tank? Tap water has a lot of chlorine and other additives that can be harmful to fish. You should always add a few drops of Aquarpure (or something similar) before adding the fish. Also, if the tempurature of the water in the new tank was warmer or cooler than the water in the old, the fish may have gone into shock. If you haven't thrown out the water in the old tank, try adding a little of it to the new to even out the water temperature.

Well, it sounds like it might not be alive for long, or it is trying to adjust to a huge tank. Does the fish have any spots on it? There is a fish fungus called ichthiosis. Put some greens in the tank as well. Good luck.

your fish is either stressed or doesn't realize it has more room. betas don't move much to begin with. If your still worried, you can purchase water conditioner just for betas at your local petsmart.
Betas only live 2-3 yrs on average so it may be age as well.

Your fish is probably stressed because of the move...get a female Betta to keep him company, another male would be disasterous.

Maybe it doesnt like bigger tank, it was used to living in the samller one and now that you've transported it it probably isn't too happy, thats my only guess,i think beta fish also like smaller spaces, thats why when you buy one it comes in a small cup
