Because they think that they wont react...which is not true....Don't mess with a "nice" person...they are dangerous when angry... lol...but of course not all nice people are the same...some let others take advantage of them...that's not being nice...that's being ignorant.. for example ...me.. :) I'm nice but I'm not ignorant... i don't let people take advantage of me... Good Day my frnd :)

Yeah there are people like that. But nice people also tend to let it happen.
It's great to be nice and if a person were to offer their help or their kindness, people are going to take you up on that offer.
Then, when that kindness isn't returned that you feel taken advantage of.
I think if you really want to do nice things, solely for just being nice then great. But don't feel like your being taken advantage of because the kindness wasn't reciprocated.

Because people are nice -- the others like to have a Sense of "power and control" over them -- so they will attempt to take advantage of them in any way possible -- whether it is requiring them to take on an hour or two of extra work, pleading for help/money -- borrowing things (and not returning them) or just outright being mean and destroying/damaging/victimizing/harming another.

Because they are easy to take advantage of. They are humble people and nice people--therefore, a good mark to take advantage of.

Because they don't expect a rude answer they expect them to walk away & exsept the fact they are being made fun of & aren't going to pop back with a better comeback then the mean person could ever think of. Thats what I like about me, I am really nice so no one expects me to pop back but all they have to do is tick me off & they wont think i am so nice anymore

well, philosophically and extremely hypocritically, what u r saying is correct. but the fact is that most of the world is bad, so ppl get used to taking advantage of other's mistakes/innocence. so, thats how this world is and so, dont' be a nice person! :)

Because "nice people" aren't likely to seek revenge. Think about it.

Paradoxically, its because "nice people" are quite vulnerable, and thus easy marks for those lacking in conscience.
