Has anyone been to have their image and colours analysed to help them dress better for their shape, size and skin tone? Have you stuck to the rules you were given and do you see the difference?

Yeah I had mine done about a year ago. I noticed a lot of truth in the tips I was given; what fabrics to avoid, what style skirts etc look best. I definitely noticed how much better 'my' colours look on me than unsuitable ones. However it can be a big problem when going shopping; trying to find something that's in fashion at the moment, and also in your style and colours! As a rule I've pretty much stuck to my colours and she told me to stop using black eye makeup (mascara and eyeliner) and it looks so much better just by switching to brown! However she told me to avoid black wherever possible but sometimes you just HAVE to wear certain colours lol!!

Yes, I found a colour consultant & a stylist both very helpful. Yes, I do keep to their guidelines (most of the time) & I do notice a difference when I do. It's good to have an objective assessment of how one dresses & how one looks. It's amazing what the right colours & shapes & lines of clothes can do for one. I think a consultation is worth the money. Of course, one does need to keep abreast of changing trends but when one knows what suits one, one can adapt those trends.

I had my image checked over by a "personal stylist". I didn't want it done, but I was working on a sort of barter system; I did her publicity shots for free and she "made me over".

It didn't really make much of a difference. I wear clothes that flatter my figure and colours that suit my hair colour already. She says most people do, their image just needs "tweaking". In my case, it was a case of adding accessories (a belt, necklace, etc).

Yes, I have stuck to her advice.
