All types, just like there is not one type of comic that appeals to men.

Everyone is different and have their own tastes.

I have honestly never seen many women buying or reading the types of books that many people put on those "Comics for your girlfriend" lists. My girlfriend reads mostly superhero and mature fantasy comics (like Vertigo style). But there is no one true answer. just take a sampling of what some of the women who reply to you say and take that as just a bit of how diverse the tastes can be.

Archie comics, Manga comics, funny stuff, Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey... What age are we looking for? Sailor Moon will save many. DC comics has a kids line with cartoon network characters, including Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes and the Powerpuff Girls.

I'm a girl (sort of LOL - I'm an OLD girl) enjoy Rorouni Kenshin, Samouri Deeper Kyo, DeathNote, Black Cat, Psy Academy, WitchHunter Robin, Innuyasha, and Yu-Gi-Oh (the original manga not the Americanized versions)

I also like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, X-Men, Power Pack, Dungeons and Dragons, and Superman.

Same as guys. I started reading X-Men in high school. Then I fell in love with DC's Vertigo line. Now I read mostly Marvel superheroes, although Wildstorm has some decent stuff, like Planetary.

I like good plots and characterization. I think that's what most comic book readers want, regardless of gender.

I'll read most anything, although I find the superhero genre to be rather trite and over done. I prefer solid, well-rounded characters, believable plots, and interesting stories. Same things I look for in non-comic books.

Well executed art and layout matters too.

I like Japanese comic. I love Detective Conan. And I also like Death Note, Wildhalf, HunterxHunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Wildlife, Saiyuki and many more.

I think it's up to each person's personality, someone like boy's comic but someone like girl's. comic.

(and for your information, someone like 'Yaoi' comic.)

Depends on the age and personality, actually. Some girls like Sailor Moon, others like shows like Naruto. It all depends.
