okay, honest answer I tried for years to put one in, at 28, I sometimes still have difficulty, I was never able to wear a tampon comfortably until after I had kids. A little suggestion though, sometimes a woman cannot have enough lubrication, (yes even on ur period), try to put a dab of lubruication on the tip of the tampon, (like ky-jelly) and it will help to insert it. Also, if you are nervous you will tighten ur muscles down there and it will then become very difficult to put the tampon in. Just relax and put one foot up on the edge of a bathtub or stool, take a deep breath and slowly begin to insert it. If you begin to become frusterated just quit, put a pad on and deal with it later. Also taking a warm relaxing shower and then put ur tampon in can help relax your vaginal muscles for the insertion of the tampon. Hope that helps.

there is not any difficulty going swimming on your era sugar, as long as you're donning a tampon. each and every each and every now and then asking your mom this might nicely be somewhat uncomfortable. through fact you're so youthful, and it sounds as though which you have not used one yet, i will supply you some counsel. With tampon in hand, you would be wanting to stand on a similar time as putting one foot on the lavatory seat. Insert the tampon ( into your vagina, nevertheless i'm particular you knew that plenty) so some distance as you could. you won't be able to precisely placed a tampon too some distance, through fact you have have been given a string to extract it once you compromise on it's time to alter it, so do not difficulty approximately it getting caught. If this does not artwork for you, try squatting on the bathing room floor, so your yet is in simple terms about touching the floor, and insert it that way. once you bypass swimming, be certain to convey one extra tampon with you in case you sense like it is going to fall out or in case you have a heavy era. If it fairly is heavy, have faith me, you would be wanting to alter it once you're there. while you're have been given from now on questions with regard to the area, be satisfied to email me. stable good fortune!

Hey girl, I was 12 once and I was so scared of tampons (because of the whole TSS) and then eventually I wanted to try it. I didn't know how to insert it, but I did realize that there are directions on the box. I know this sounds so corny and like I'm trying to give you a hard time, but im NOT. I carefully read the instructions on the box and tried it. I wasted like 2 or 3 because I was experimenting but now I wear them and I think they are so much better than those diapers known as pads!
Good luck, and you'll thank yourself for wearing tampons later :o)

This is a totally normal thing you are going through.
I agree that you should take your time and relax. The glide applicators work well. In most cases, it will just take time, relaxation, and practice.
Some girls/women still have intact hymens that won't allow easy tampon access. This can just naturally change over time (i.e. just spontaneously with acitivity, sexual activity, etc). However, there are some girls who have what's called 1. Incomplete hymenal obstruction or 2. imperforate hymens.
"In the case of incomplete hymenal obstruction due to a cribriform hymen or hymenal band, the typical presenting symptom is difficulty inserting a tampon or even the inability to achieve vaginal intercourse in an adolescent. Anatomic variations must be distinguished from involuntary vaginismus or contraction of the perineal and pelvic musculature or levator ani muscles, which can be associated with the learning process of tampon insertion, becoming a vicious cycle when persistent insertion is attempted without success and causes pain."
I hope that helps!

Do you mean in? LOL, poor thing! Try using a plastic tube one instead of the thick cardboard ones. Use a jr. lites. The size matters (regular, super, etc.). Take your pants off and squat. Stick it in and do your thing. If you can feel it (hurting while you are walking or sitting) you do not have it in properly. Take your time, it just does not happen over night to get it in right. And if you attempt once you can try a second time, but I would not recommend a third in a row. You will just end up being in pain and upset that it will not go in. Sometimes it is not meant to be for some people, good luck!

Read the instructions but if all else fails get one that comes with an applicator.
Put one foot up on the toilet seat, slowly insert it until it feels in the right position. It will take some practice but soon you'll be an expert.

Try the applicator ones( smoother). maybe you need to relax a little you might be a bit tense without realising. Dont worry, you cant put it in too far. Good luck

use o.b. w/o the applicator. i never used an applicator i think it's a waste of plastic & makes it harder. get over any fear or embarrassment you may have & try to insert it on its own. It's much easier & smaller (like 1.5" vs. 4"). good luck.
