Basically, you can do whatever you want to do.

What did you think of doing 'when you are older' say when you were a young teenager? When the main thing stopping you was money? Now you are in your 40s you are probably settled but that is beginning to feel like a rut. So, pursue an old ambition - if you thought you could be a great painter then find out by going on a week long course or similar. Fabulous dancer - find out by taking lessons and if it turns out you have two left feet, what the heck, you will have had a few enjoyable evenings out.

If you like walking, join a ramblers association.

By now, you are probably getting the drift.

Whatever you think about doing, get off your backside and DO IT.

My god honey, you make it sound as if your ancient,, if you feel that you need to revitalise your life... take a long hard look at what youve got, if you dont like it ..get rid and start again..no seriously...
it all depends on what you mean by revitalising, do you need a new career which is more interesting.. have you got any decent hobbies or pastimes.. its no point people suggesting anything coz they dont know who you are or what your likes, dislikes are, only you can answer that question, I could along side everybody else write a list but as Ive said before I dont know what youd like.

First you quit thinking that it needs any activities to "revitalise" it.

44 is young, go out, go to pubs and clubs, meet people and chat

if you are really stuck for something "to do" grow stuff its fun and easy

grow food you ger free best tasting food
grow clothes, yup you can grow your own clothes, flax is simple to grow, thats what you get linen from
grow flowers, they look and smell great
grow fruit, you can eat it or brew it

while you are growing all this stuff, get a bee hive: free honey, a hive should turn a profit in about 2 years too

Sounds like mid-life crisis time:
1.Buy a convertible sports car
2.Have an affair with a 21 year old
3 Take up dangerous sports
4.Get down the gym whenever you get the chance to prevent you having to go home
5. Start drinking kiddy drinks
6. buy a high powered motorbike, get a direct access license and proceed to try and kill yourself

Its easy to revitalise your life

I have been making cards for a year now, its very relaxing and i love doing it, i also get a paid for doing what i like, if you dont fancy doing this type of hobbie then try taking up a sport that you have never done before, like rock climbing they have indoor centres for that sort of thing.

You could ask friends and family along so you dont get lonely when trying something new. I took my friends to our local rock climbing centre and they are all hooked now.

Good luck

Well DON't go to the Philippines or Thailand looking for a romance and end up being a dirty old ex-pat siko. Dont buy a new fancy car, dump your wife for a sexy new girl, Don't do a complete overahul of fashion and a haircut. Watch Karate Kid 1,2 and 3 and take some examples of ole Mr Miaki and be happy with what you have. You do not need revitalization you need a CELEBRATION to have stuck it out this long

Forget age, it's only a number. Grow with with dignity, look forward to happiness and laughter and meeting new friends like here on Yahoo Answers. Now I'll drink to that. Cheers!

Don't think of yourself as 44!

I'm still living my first childhood at 40, and I can't wait 'til I get to live my 2nd one!

My poor WIFE!!!
