Unfortunately there aren't too many job in history that make a lot of money. Some museum currators make decent livings, and tenured profs do ok (as long as they are in large universities). Often times that is why you see historians writing as well, usually they can make more off of book sales than their full time job.
Historical consultants do alright, but again there aren't a lot of top paying jobs for historians, at least when you compare them to other fields.

My friend's husband has a history degree. He first worked selling antique furniture and stuff but that wasn't very successful. Later on he was able to get a job overseeing our local parks. Many of our parks here in Ohio are famous battleground sites or old mansions with grounds from historically signifcant families and so he directs the "educational" programs that are put on by the parks. He makes a decent wage doing that. Other than that you have writing and teaching as career options. Make sure you think outside the box though. What makes history important? Why do you think it is signifcant to everyday people? Answer those questions for yourself and you will be on the way to convincing others to hire you for your advice.

I will be studying history education when I returned to school, for the first time in 20 years, in January. This is not an area that makes much money. It is something that is more of a passion. If you want to make money, find a different career and just keep your passion for history as a hobby.

Get a degree in history. Become a History Teacher or phone a local museum in your area and ask to talk to the person who runs it. Make it an informational interview asking question of that person how they got their job; and ask what skills you need to work in a museum and even what types of other jobs one might do in a museum. Good Luck.

I don't think history will do it for you. You cannot spell or formulate a concise sentence.
