i now speak spanish...pretty well, and when ever i walk by, ppl start speaking to me in spanish (not of the hispanic race...by the way)..but i normally just chat with them, and they are surprised that i can speak. but its ok....rite?

it used to be awhile back that if I had to learn a language It would mean that I intend to visit there. I admonish and think it is the rudest gesture in speaking foreign foreign language in a country where English is primary, We will defeat the invaders!.
I told my daughters teacher to not force my child to learn Spanish. she agreed but suggested another. It is not OK for them to come across our border like its a stroll to freedom and better employment. The Mexicans must fight for what is right and fight for what is not in their own country. So please stop perpetuating a problem. their are many who are just short of doing the drastic we will no longer tolerate foreigners using taxpayers money for their problems. Our governments naivety to this problem is now out of control and they elude the problem by telling us that more people were killed in Iraq(that ticks me off)the problem still remains and will not go away until the People of this country take hard action to rid of this problem. "We have been Plain as day been silently invaded,and if that is OK with you then you can leave as well. I am mad as hell and I am not going to take this anymore.

Yeah it is fine. Just don't speak spanish in front of those who can't speak it. Or if there is someone there who does not speak spanish immediately offer to translate or switcht to english to include them in the conversation.

there is nothing wrong with that... its good to speak that way... just because you speak a different language doesnt mean that its bad.

why wouldnt it be? im russian and i can speak spanish. You can speak any language you want.

Knowing languges is always good . And talking with people is the best way to do that .
