No one can make the choice to have surgery except you with help from your parents. My sister had surgery when we were about 14 for a foot problem and did just fine. From experience with diffrent medical issues I would say try everything you can and then have surgery if you are still in pain, however that choice is up to you

First off it's totally up to your parents and your doctor. In my opinion if the surgery will help you with the pain, why not get it over with now instead of waiting till later.

If you need surgery and it will help, then by all means do it. But be sure that your doctors KNOW what they are doing and that they have considered EVERYTHING first and also ask them what are the risks, complications. You need to assess a risk-benefit ratio to see if it's really worth it.

yeah its ok to get surgery, if its bad pain and the doc says you need it, go for it. you can always get a second opinion if you think your doctor is shady. not all docs are good ones!
