Because I can't really think of any.

I don't think it's productive to be proud of yourself for being any race. It's a condition of birth, not something you achieved by your own actions. Be proud of being who you are inside, not outside, and you'll be far on your way to being a happier person.

On a side note, I think I understand where you are coming from though, it is hard to be proud of being part of a race that has always considered itself to be superior to anyone of a different color. I couldn't reject that notion more strongly, and I'm sure you feel the same way.

Wow, can't think of any?

Let's look at the accomplishments of "white culture".

How about .... Europe?
Does that count as something positive?

Opera, Ballet, Classical Music, Abstract Impressionism, Art Deco

I think Stonehenge is pretty cool as is Las Vegas.

I mean, really, what are you saying? At this moment, globally white guys are The Man. Historically the deeds done are no worse than say ... Chairman Mao, who killed 38 million of his people.

If you are feeling guilty about America invading Iraq with it's ... 5000 deaths? Compare it to Hitler -- 21 million!

Today more people world wide are doing better than ever before, in fact globally obesity is a concern now -- which tells you there is more to eat than ever before. I don't think "the white man" can take all the credit but certainly the white leaders of the past 75 years have raised the overall quality of life not only in the US but all over the world.
People in OUR ghettos have televisions and cellphones!

Sure, there are problems. Lot's of them. But keep your chin up. This is an amazing time to be alive for a lot of people of all races.

There is no reason to be proud or ashamed of the color of anyone's skin. It's just pigment, for God's sake.

pride is a foolish thing. search for reasons to be proud of yourself, the individual. Seeking to be proud of a skin color is silly.

Look it isn't the question of your being a white or a black at all. What makes you proud of your self is yourself, your good doings or qualities.

The white race is the most civilized race on earth. Take a look at the continents that are predominately white: North America, Europe, Australia they have a good standard of living and are clean and modern and moderatly populated where as Africa, South AMerica, most of Asia (Except for Japan which has a good standard of living and good quality people) are full of disease, poverty, overpopulatin, war and crime. A white neighborhood is safe whereas a black neighborhood is crime ridden and etc. White people seem to have better control over their emotions.

Simple, for a girl named "Posture": you sit on something everyday that every single male on the planet would want a taste of. That little piece of white is better than any other piece in the world.

Being proud of being a perticular race has no merit, that's just another way of stereotyping yourself.

Be proud of something that matters. Skin color isn't important.
