I have done the following things when I had back or neck pain... try doing a lot of stretching.. do the stretching very slowly and avoid any jerky movements. You may get some relief by getting a massage too. You should see a doctor if it persists though. Sometimes it just takes time. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Have a good day.

go to a doctor. he'll probably prescribe some muscle relaxant. in the meantime, here are some things u can do to help yourself: watch your posture, avoid carrying heavy stuff, make sure your mattress is firm enough and go get a massage from someone who's good at accupressure points. i've been advised by some practitioners not to exercise till the pain's gone otherwise it'll sort of like injure your muscles/tendons more. hope this help.

Go to a chiropracter or doctor.
In the meantime time some over the counter pain medicine, take a hot shower or bath and get a good massage.

If you back and neck hurt this may mean, that you may have been hunched over 2day, 2 much!!! may me take a lil nap laying straight on ur stomach or back, and by time you wake up it should go away!!!

Do exactly what "sweet smile" said and you should be just fine. (You might end up going to a chiropractor regularly. I have a really back neck and back especially my shoulders, and I have to go to my chiropractor twice a week) but it works.

ask ur frnd to massage it for you . trust me it helps or else apply a bit of oil on your neck &massage it in upward stokes lightly with your fingers. hope this helps
