a Red string!!!!
Put a string, i've heard red, but any color would do, try to get a thick string or do it double. Carefully with a disinfected needle (burn it and/or clean with alcohol) pass it through the ear hole, make a loop and tie it, but some alcohol or other disinfectant on the ear. Move the string ocasionally so it won't stick to the ear and you should be good to go. This will help air get on the openning and help it heal. Do apply some kind of antibiotic spray/alcohol every now and then.

For a child - neosporin plus! make sure earrings are hypoallergenic and nickle free. Remove studs. Clean ear holes with hydrogen peroxide. Then dip studs in neosporin plus and reinsert. Put neosporin on ears multiple times per day. This product contains antibiotics AND a Pain Reliever! If improvement is not seen in a day or two, or if the child has a fever, then remove and let the ears heal. The child can get re-pierced another time.
Personally, I am not a fan of letting a young child get pierced ears. I think they need to be old enough to be responsible for themselves somewhat and take care of the ears themselves.

Clean the ears & earrings with alcohol many times a day & dip the post in bacitracin before replacing. I wouldn't let the infection continue more than a week before removing the earrings & letting the holes close up. I had to do this when I was young & I had them repierced when i was older.

stable ol' rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide constantly artwork for me. a speedy wipe with a soaked cotton ball on the two the ear and the rings in the previous putting them in. while you're services to those infections, try making an investment in some hypoalergetic rings and notice if that makes a distinction. I additionally discover that coating the posts/hooks of my rings with clean nail polish helps plenty, extremely in the event that they are affordable.

Replce the earrings with 14K gold as your child likely has a metal allergy. Polysporin works great. If the earrings are hoops just put it right on the ring and slide it through the opening.
