Good question :-)

I am a French citizen and I live in France since I was born.

Well, I am not really proud of the nation I am citizen in.
I don't really like its culture, people & language. I resonate much more with the UK.

Anyway, I am more and more proud to be French, because I dare to question statements and not to automatically accept what is said. I am not a sheep.

This behaviour is typical of the French, in my view. This helps me evolve.

Hi There,
You know something, when we stay in a place we always see the things that are bad and then we start blaming it. But simultaneously we started liking unknowingly. Same is applicable to our country also. When we are there we don't get the value of that place but we do realize the importance when we move away from our country. Then we remember good things about it. I am away from my country now. Now I feel how nice my country was. I am from India. When it comes to Love, Relation, Emotion, Respect, History , Culture..it is always India and will be India forever.

U.S.A. I'm proud to be an American and a Solider.
I could care less what everyone else thinks about the United States within our borders and the rest of the world.

I'm from England, and let me say, I find it difficult. I might be proud of the past. but I'm not too sure about all the exploitation that went on during the 'great days of the Empire' and now I'm quite frankly embarrassed.

Everyone should be proud of their heritage. Just because a few people mess up the works doesn't mean our history isn't there anymore.

my country is in pretty sore shape too. as with most we are blinded or suppressed by our government. they are many in prison for victimless crimes, many that are violent, or depressed, and much ignorance. not to mention how many ethnicity's have been suppressed, used, or simply destroyed. it has practically changed its status from country, ( U.S. of A.) to a continent, (America). i love this country because we/ I believe that everyone should have life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
