you need to take action now. the shop owner may be in trouble of some sort or just trying to pull something over on you.get all the paperwork together showing that the bike is yours and any contracts or work orders that the shop gave you when you left your bike with him.your local sheriff will gladly pay him a visit or find his location .you need to get your bike. the shop owner could throw you a storage fee

How long has he been out of town? Does it look like he has abandoned his shop? He might just be away on vacation, it is a holiday week. If it looks like he has left town for good, you will need to go to the police and report it to them. I hope that you have the proper paper work for your bike. Tell the police your bike is inside and they can find out who the landlord of the building is and how to get in touch with them to retrieve your property. It will take some more patience on your part but this happens more than it should. Good luck.

Go talk to the shop owner, unless he's the owner who went out of town. Maybe he's in the hospital or worse.

If the shop is open, go get your bike. If it's not go talk to the Constables office about getting it back for you.

If something happened where the shop owner is no longer reachable for an extended period of time, and he hasn't returned your bike, then I would call and report it stolen and let the cops to the legwork.
