Well, most of Proverbs concerns "wisdom", so reading the book of Proverbs would be a "wise" decision.
Here's some:
Prov. 15:14 "The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly."
Prov. 15:29 "The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil."
Prov 17:14 "Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam, so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out."
Prov 17:20 "A man of perverse heart does not prosper; he whose tongue is deceitful falls into trouble."
Prov 17:27-28 " A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered." 28 "Even a fool is thought to be wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue."
There's many, many more. Go read them and you'll find a wealth of wisdom.

Proverbs 11:12 A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue.
Prov. 17: 24 A discerning man keeps wisdom in view, but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of the earth.
17:27 A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered.
Prov. 19:2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.
Prov. 20:25 It is a trap for a man to dedicate something rashly, and only later to consider his vows.
Thank you for asking this question -- going to the Word to try to find something for you led me to find some thoughts that will help me with a conflict at work! ("That's why" the Lord led you to ask this question, I think!)

I don't have any proverbs to help you but i do have a word of advice. People take you on your word. If what you say is feeble or just plain dumb then they will view you that way. Always listen and reflect before you say anything. Oh, and don't every argue politics or religion with people its a no win situation merely listen and then nod politely and say "Really if that's how you feel good for you." good luck.

James 1:19-20
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.

Mine is not from the Bible but its similar. It's better to be quiet and thought a fool than speak and remove all doubts.

One Proverb suiting your question is Proverbs 18: 13; "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him."

"Judge not, lest ye be judged" It's one of the few good lines in The Bible and one some should take more to heart . . .
