It's to do with Yahoo economising but...more generally the world should realise that the British and Irish peoples are very close. Certainly in Britain the Irish are not seen as real "foreigners" because so many Brits have relatives or ancestors from Ireland. The movement of people between Ireland and Britain is huge and has been for hundreds of years.

Obviously the partition of Ireland changed the relationship somewhat and political violence on all sides has caused a lot of pain since then. Nevertheless the ordinary people of Britain and Ireland have always got along fine and continue to.

Ordinary Irish and British people have always gotten along well. They have intermarried for years. Certainly, it would be better if parts of history had never happened but only silly people blame the person on the street for that.

The vast majority of I rish & British get on well,it's the extremists who cause all the trouble.
