Don't do it. The risk of viruses, spyware, and slowing down your system is not worth having a "cute" cursor. These sites offer these things for free for a reason - and it is not just because they are trying to be helpful!

I downloaded a cursor from Border collie breeders website , now what could be safer than that? WRONG suddenly AVG informed me I had the Klez virus! I got rid of it ok and I emailed the owner of the collie of the website. She sent me a nice e mail thanking me for informing them about it. since then they have had to revise their site.
Yes you have to be careful, like one of the other posters said, don't go anywhere near "Smiley Central"

Basically, dont download any cursor changing software, they are al generally bad news, in fact most free programs that change your computers appearance, are spyware.

Yes it is true that you can get viruses from these sites. But given a suitable Virus checker and firewall it is not a massive problem.

Cursor mania and smiley central and other sites like them fill your PC with spyware, my daughter clogged her machine with them.

yeh, you need to be very careful about this stuff. theres high risk while downloading cursors, themes and screensaver.
