In a monetary sense, I am not sure that it is worth it to go back to the moon.
However, I don't believe that we do everything based on how much it costs. Humans are dreamers and wanderers. Going to the moon and beyond is a dream, a worldwide fantasy of sorts. It is worth it because it fulfills our dreams and sense of longing for exploration.

There are two reasonable uses for the moon. One is as a highly stable parking place for a large telescope, which if placed on the visible rim or the far side, could see a long way. The moon's low gravity would reduce the amount of material required. Whether this would have advantages over orbiting telescopes such as Hubble is not clear.
The other major possible use would be as a launching platform for spacecraft that could make use of the earth's gravity well to get an additional kick. This, too, is a bit iffy, as the material would have to be transported from earth to moon and that would be expen$ive.

Yes we should go back because when they went the hype was so big about actually being there that it didn't leave a lot of time for useful research and even though the moon looks like a giant rock it plays a really important role in the way our planet functions today

I think so: Ive heard an idea of tryna build an amuesment park or something on the moon.
2. I along with NASA think it would be a good place to try and lauch from to get to the other planets.
3. I think it would also be a good place (or at least the closest place) to go incase of global disaster (war, global warming at its worst, ice age, too close to the sun and things start burning up, ect.).

No. I think that would be a complete waste of time, unless we were going to drill it. If a big drilling company wanted to go and try some exploration, at thier cost, I'd be for that. Do we know whats below the surface?
I'm for going to Mars or Venus. I'd see some value to that before going back to a dead hunk of rock.

No, I don't. Double that for Mars or any of the other planets, moons, etc. etc.
Until we figure out how to live here without making a total mess of it, we have no business going into space and finding other worlds to sh*t all over.

I think it would be interesting to send probes or people back to the Moon to look at the spot where the astronauts were to show if they were really there !
Nasa says they left stuff there and yet they say you can't see the stuff because it's too small .. I think it's baloney .
