Yoga is fun and keep the body fit and the body calm. Yoga increases the suppleness of your entire body if done correctly. Certain types of yoga are mainly for relaxation, but other types are for strengthening and increasing flexibility.

I find yoga to be a totally great way to exercise and relax at the same time. Its like getting a full body message and yet achieving positions you didn't even know your body could achieve at the same time. You are stretching and improving your flexibility every time you try, thus trying to get to the point where you can do all these positions. When your done you feel relaxed and rejuvanated, somewhat more open and maybe want to take a nap or free to do what ever you like. I also suggest pilates.

Yoga, primarily helps to relax ones self and relieve stress and tension within the body. It is a workout and may help one lose weight or work on cardio strength. People who do yoga says that you are able to get in touch with your inner self, gain strength, gain flexibility, and relax (as I said above). Hope this helps. It is a very good work out to do! I love it. Start out basic though, the advanced yoga stuff is definally not for those just starting out.
