I would say cats because if you got a dog you constantly need to be around, to feed it, take it for walks, take it outside to do it's business. Though with cats they can take care of themselves and they still are really nice to you. If you are getting a cat then I would say get a boy cat because they are a lot friendlier then girl cats.

I have 3 cats but I want a dog. Cats do what they want. Dogs are more loving and fun to play with.

Cats. Dogs tie you down. It's like having a child to care for.

Both! Sorry, but I love them both. Dogs for energetic fun and unconditional worship and love; cats for quiet times, beauty and the healthy experience of being ignored by a creature who knows deep down that it is superior to me in all possible ways.

dogs....because cats' poop stinks. and then like their cat litter thingy is really strong. and their fur gets all over the place, and they scratch things up, and they like to be more independent.

dogs are very companionable, and they can be trained fairly easily. they enjoy staying outside, where they dont get in the way. its quite rewarding to own a dog.

Both. They both give unconditional love. Although dogs are more playful, cats are cleaner and easier to look after as they can look after themselves. Both are loving and loyal. They become part of the family no-matter what your preference.
