Okay, does anyone feel the same way? I prefer not to use the anonymous smile and I do like changing my avatar from time to time, but I just wish that they would give some alternative avatars that look older than a teenager. I graduated high school in the 80s for pete's sake!!

I don't like using my own photo because I like the idea of being anonymous and it's fun to change my avatar once in a while (I even became "black" for a few days to see if I would be treated differently). I just hate having to look like I'm my daughter's age!

Here Here! Older and chubbier would be a lot more accurate---I graduated in 1981 and wish I looked like my avatar!

I also agree. Although some users will never come to terms with displaying an avatar that depicts their age, it would be a nice feature for those who would.
This project would also get those Y graphics guys out of the break room and back to work...Hah!

I sure agree with you, and the eyes for the Avatars? I have only
seen eyes this big on a grasshopper!! Also they could change
the same old faces and hair does once in awhile. Yes you have
brought up a good question.

Yes I think older avatars are needed. These are "generically" youthful. If you want to make a suggestion, there is a link to the forum/message boards below.

Precisely! I'm three score and more and I can't find an appropriate avatar for this identity. So I use the gray non-avatar supplied as a default.

It also would be nice if there was a separate Answers for the under 18s or whatever to help reduce the number of ridiculously childish questions.

I think that we should have older avatars. Looking at mine you would not know that I am 60. As to why I don't use a picture, I am not only old but I am fat and ugly too.

I know what you mean. I graduated high school in the 60's and I get people younger than my children IMing me, thinking I am some young thing.

To much fuss about hair color. Some of us don't have hair to color.
But, a good point has been raised. Definately a young person's avatar!
