Some change is to be expected. Don't try to change. It will come on its own. I have not outgrown cartoons. I did outgrow the way I think about them. I have a vast amount of knowledge by comparison to my younger self. Put another way, I learned. When I see a strong guy on T. V. pull a helicopter out of the air, I wonder if the guys mass increased that much or if the writer neglected his mass for the script. Example, the Incredible Hulk should never be able to pull a large helicopter out of the sky, but he does. The same thing happens with friends and family and church. You get a different perspective or way of looking at things as you learn. I do offer a warning. You haven't learned it all yet. Be very careful and suspicious of your ideas and assumptions. Ideas based on part of a truth are as dangerous as complete lies. You only know in part; later you might know enough to make an informed decision. Until you are older with the associated knowledge and wisdom, you should seek help and guidance from a parent or trusted adult. I am an adult and still seek the benefit of another's experience. Who wants to make the same mistake someone else did if he can learn and avoid it?

yeah you are changing. I remember when I was changing too, but with girls or with me I never let go of cartoons, especially Walt disney great shots like Lion king, Mulan atc.
I also discovered that church gave me a lot of fulfilment and church freinds were the ones who really gave me something to hang on to, I know you know what I mean.
Well, the changing part of my life was the best part because now, when I look back at those days, I am happy I made the decisions I made then, I am a fulfilled person now because I loved them.
I think its kinda great you are discovering yourself now I mean, you know the kinda music you like, you know people that dont like your kinda music, you know people you wanto hang out with, not the regular hanging out because everybody is so doing, I think you are getting it real cool.
I also think girl music vary from guy music and it takes a really self discovered girl to know and say whay kind of music she likes and all, should I let you in on a secret? I like church folks too, but not all of them cause a lot of characters show up there and display a lot of character.
so whats the question? getting it right? I think you are getting it very right, it comes naturally to you, I guess it will stay naturally.
Enjoy your youth, live life to the fullest, love God and live long.
