Use the old saying' there is a place for everything, and everything goes in it's place'.
I had a very small home, this does work.
continue to be tidy, use shelving, clear plastic boxes, with labels,
etc.

my room is too small also. i haven't come up with any thing that last. i clean it organize everything and the next day it is a mess again. i'm guessing we both have too much stuff.

Get rid of excess junk (if you haven't worn certain clothes for a year, you're not wearing them again: give them to Goodwill or some other charity organization). Get rid of excess baggage and keep only the bare essential.

mine is small too and im bad at staying organized but i have two dresser for extra storage and plasic boxs like the first person said

You can keep organized by using clear boxes that interlock as tops so you can see what is in the box, also you can use space saver bags for seasonal clothing.

install shelves, put your bed all the way in the corner, and pick up after yourself twice as often as you already do. i recently moved and have the same problem. it sucks doesn't it?
