pour CRC into it while its away from the rest of the cooler, and continuallly flush it with recently boiled water, until you remove all traces of the CRC, then refill it with clean water and you should be ok from there.

they are very easy to take apart , i just had to do that to mine and found mold in there , yes mold . there was about 6 screws and everything came apart and fit in dishwasher . Then i just ran boiling water through the tubes to clean them out . I woldn't use bleach on your water cooler . Also i was told they make some stuff to that will clean it kinda like a coffe maker cleaner , but the best way is to ust take it apart. if you are just talking about the water bottle you need to get a replacement , they are very cheap

Wash inside top with bleach and water to kill mold and run bleach through lines out faucets and rinse well allowing water to flow through faucets. You have a mold growth because cooler was left unplugged.

I'd call the company that provides the water-- and probably the cooler-- it's their problem.
If you bought the cooler portion-- the person saying how to get the mold out probably has it correct.
good luck

Aren't those supposed to be replaced with each refill? That's how it works with ours.
