Goths can wear anything they want, including bright colors...most goths listen to old school goth or postpunk (The Cure, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees ect...)...most people would not define Criss Angel as a goth...try Goth.net for a better explanation of what goth is and isn't. Or look at some of my answers with the word 'goth' in them. I think you'll start to get the picture.

First off, I've never heard Chris Angel referred to as a goth. He's a magician, his look is part of his act. If you're starting to listen to the music and wear the clothing, it doesn't mean you're goth. Goth is a mindset and a lifestyle. Its one of those annoying 'If I have to tell you, you don't really get it' kind of things. So feel free to listen to whatever music you want and dress however you want, but don't label yourself something you're not. Just be yourself, which is always more interesting than some stereotype.

I like rock and hard metal and I think some guitarists are hot, but I'm not goth...
If you just have crushes on goth people...that doesn't mean your goth...but if you want to look goth...then ask yourself..."Why do I want to do this?" and if it's just because of Mind Freak Criss Angle, then you should just forget about looking goth and just be yourself while crushing on him...

I'm slowly turning goth just like you. lol I also used to be the kind of person who likes wearing bright clothes and is happy all the time. Ever since I turned 15 I started liking rock like Green Day and the All American Rejects and Panic! At the Disco. And I find myself slowly starting to wear dark clothes and not being as happy as usual. But I have a crush on the lead singer from Green Day: Billie Joe Armstrong, so that might have something to do with it.

I like bands like Fall Out Boy and Green Day and I wear dark clothes, but I wouldn't say I'm goth.
