Because there are more males in the field of Ob/Gyn than females. This is true for most of medicine.

It depends on the sex of the person chosen by the mother to deliver her child. There are still more male than female doctors.

You should be able to choose if you're not then there is a problem and you need to solve it, you're the one who has to be comfortable not the doctors nor the hospital or practice or whatever
