If you do not want to replant them you can just cut them down. Remember to cut at a 90 degree angle.

well you can re pot or you could take some clippings when you trim them back use some rooting powder and you will have more plant next year free of charge plenty of food to help them over the winter and you be a rite as rain next year.but some plants you should re pot in fresh compost each year and never put new plant in an old basket with old compost in it ,

Yes. You can always find a bigger hanging pot.

Plants are like people. While people need new clothing as they grow, plants need more space as they grow. If you don't, then they can become rootbound in that search for more room.

Depends on what they are. Philodendron likes a small pot.
