Try mineral spirits in a corner where it is not obvious, it shouldn't damage the tiles. Clean it off right away. If you don't have mineral spirits, charcoal starter fluid is about the same thing.

On the container the glue came in, it should tell you what will remove it.
If you don't have it, Naphtha will work. Or Odorless Mineral spirits. You can buy these at any local home improvement store for about $7 a quart.
Check the chemicals on a spare tile or a cut piece to make sure it doesn't discolor the tiles.
GOOD LUCK!

If the tiles are newly laid then you should be able to just scrape the excess off.
Other than that, it would depend on what sort of vinyl tiles you laid - commercial or domestic. If you are laying commercial, you should have known better and if you are laying domestic, then there could be a serious question as to the tile.
Need to know what you laid before I can answer!

There are many commercial products that will remove this adhesive. I like Goop the best. It cleans easy and has very little strong smell.
