where is nitrogen in our homes and neighborhood and what is the source of this element? i need some examples for a project im doing.

Nitrogen is 80% of the air and can be separated by the fractional distillation of air. Nitrogen fixing bacteria in root nodules of some plants take it out of the air and convert it into agriculturally useful chemicals. Lightning stikes also convert nitrogen into nitrogen oxides.
In your home nitrogen in compounds is found in any protein, ammonia cleaners, polyamide fabrics amongst many others.

Nitrogen is the single most abdundant component of the Earth's atmosphere, 78.084% by volume, 75.5% by weight.
It is also present in all living tissues in amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins, in nucleic acids, which are building blocks of DNA & RNA and other tissues. Our bodies cannot utilize the free nitrogen present in the atmosphere. So we rely on our nitrogen intake to fulfill the requirements of our bodies. The main source of our nitrogen is Meat and also legumes.
Nitrogen fixing bacteria present in the roots of leguminous plants fix the atmospheric nitrogen into the legumes and convert them into an easily utilizable form for us.

Nitrogen comprises 60 something percent of teh atmosphere. And it's fairly easy to seperate out.
