My left eye twitched for 3 months or so a few years ago. It drove me crazy!! I thought it might have been stress, as it started right after we moved. But I, too, heard that it could be a vitamin deficiency. Willing to try anything for relief, I started taking a mulitvitamin and in a few weeks the twitch was gone!!! Give it a try and also look into relaxation. Perhaps the two together will bring you relief too.

Ive learned that eye twitching could be due to stress. Im a med school student and when I start drinking large amounts of caffeine so I can study I notice twitching in my eye as well. However someone close to me is kind of superstitous so they say when your left eye twitches something bad is going to happen or has happened. The right eye should be fine. This is what Ive been told and I dont know if its my own belief but sometimes when my left eye twitches something bad did happen. But a majority of the time I think it was stress.

usually, the symptoms you show are a result of eye strain. so i would suggest you to cut down on computer, t.v. etc. also lack of sleep can cause the same problem. so, get some sleep, say 6-8 hrs regularly. if the problem still persists go to a neurologist and the dentist if needed, 'cos if you have any maxillary infection it might cause eye twitching.

I have heard that the twitching is caused by a nerve. Sometimes it lasts a short time and sometimes it can last for weeks. once mine lasted about 3 wks. I know it's very annoying but you can go to your Dr. if your worried .

Sometimes its just a muscle spasm, and will go away in another day or two.
More often its from being under a lot of stress.

It could be a neurological problem. Either that, or a minor eye injury. If your eye is irritated, your body may be trying to blink in order to relieve the irritation. Blinking rewets the eye's surface.

it's caused by stress, but also that you are low on Vitamin A, which takes a while to build up in your system...
so by taking Vitamin A (careful, you can overdose, only take recommended allowances) it'll take a week or two to go away.
