how about a barbecue
or a pic-nic in the park
let your boys invite a friend over the house
walk around the mall .... get some school clothes on sale
rent a couple of funny movies and watch them with the kids at home as a family

Well depending on the age of children take thm to an amusement park they'll have a lot of fun. Maybe you and your husband can revisit those youthful days and get on a couple of rides yourself. you can also go the beach if you're near a beach. find out who's having a cook out and go to one of them or have one of your own. or you can get a few ideas from your kids to find out if there is anything in particualr they would like to do. i hope this helps out. good luck to you

if its nice outside you can go to a park and have a picnic, or if its not so nice , then maybe make some food, and set it up in the house like a buffet, and play some games, or take a ride to some friends or relatives, and spend the day there.

we have a local zoo where you can go there bbq see the animals and it has a park for them to play in free except for the bbq maybe you could cook out and have the kids play in the pool.
