IF we consider that the electric trains is able to produce smoke and is still able to run (wel, they don't), the smoke would go north, the direction of the train doesn't matter.

since when have electric trains emitted smoke. if i saw an electric train emitting smoke i would be seriously worried and would call the fire brigade. if there was smoke it would blow north.
