Well, I have had a lot of experience with cocaine in my 20s. I can tell you that cocaine can bring out the worst in people and 9 times out of 10 it does. I always thought it was funny, too, how guys would buy coke for their dates and then be upset when the girl can't shut up long enough to fool around.
On the other hand, I used to get a small amount and play scrabble with my sister and talk all night and that was lots of fun. The coke would spark lots of interesting conversation and would last a long time with just the 2 of us.
Having said that, my sister and I were the only ones who got out of that circle without serious damage or loss. Most of the people we knew in those days got into way too much debt over cocaine and some people got very, very hurt. All in all, I would say people should stay away from coke and anything chemical like that (meth, etc.) - it is not worth the damage you can cause to yourself, your friendships and your bank account, and it is not like you will get anything long lasting and/or positive out of it, like you can with other stuff.
Peace!
Addictive or not? Yes, it is addictive. I never suffered withdrawl symptoms but it would be mentioned or around and that would be all I could think of . The friends I had who were hurt or lost money were certainly addicted or it would never have come to that. And you would see people stealing it away from the group so they could have some for themselves later. We even bought it from people we didn't like or trust, just because we were determined to have it. I know people who have just gone off with strangers who have offered them coke, so strong is the addiction. It really brings out the worst in people.

i really dont understand peoples obsession with cocaine, i have done coke a few times, well maybe 10 or 15 times. most of the time i didnt feel anything at all. it was nothing, but i had a roommate that was a constant coke snorter. he would spend $300 or more every weekend on it. i always told him what a fool he was to waste that much money on it because i had never gotten anything from it. he said try my stuff, and i did. whoa it was super powerful. it wasnt a head buzz at all. it was just like drinking too much coffee. i was just really hyper. just like doing the caffiene pills. the caffiene pills are totally legal and only cost a few dollars a pack. and i only can take half of that and im totally wired. i must not understand the fascination with cocaine, it just seems like a really strong caffeine buzz to me. but it was almost too strong. i thought my heart was beating so hard i was going to have a heart attack. never gonna try that again. 2 cups of coffee is all i ever want.

OK... let me enlighten you...
Cocaine was my fathers number one addiction until Crack became popular during the 90s and because of his addiction it completely destroyed my childhood.... His addiction ruined his marriage and ruined my relationship with him...
I'm a huge advocate for the legalization of Marijuana and certain psychoactive drugs, but under no circumstances will I ever condone using Cocaine...
It's extremely addicting, extremely harmful, and will ruin your life.
Don't believe me?
I did Cocaine on a vacation to Central America and became addicted to its effects almost immediately. When I returned to the US, I didn't go looking for it, and had feelings of withdrawal for weeks after....
So if you're smart, which I hope you are... Don't try Cocaine... Do shrooms, do weed, do Ecstasy if it makes you feel good... but Don't Try Cocaine...

It's adictive after just one time and it ruins your life completely, and ruins it forever unless someone is there who cares enough about you to work with you and spend lots of time over many years to bring you out of it. But then, like alcohol, the adiction might bring you back to doing it. Many addicts steal a lot (and hurt and kill people too) just to keep their habit alive. Cacaine is definitely not a good thing.
