Clever means the ability to figure things out on your own.
The stuff you listed sounds like you just heard it from someone else. I don't see how that counts as clever.

Yeah but with being a teenager comes with a lot of other crap. Living at home, being spotty, voice changing for boys, girls figuring out boys tricks...

I think the 18 to 21 rocks, still got the fun of being a teenager but with the freedom of being adult...they were the glory years

No. They are mostly a bunch of morons with no social skills, hunchbacked from sitting in front of a computer all day long, not interested in doing anything real about their own future, let alone the future of the planet..
Was that what you wanted to hear?

I really think the only thing young people are "clever" with in this day and age is the computer.
They lack, however, respect for others. No one really says "please" or "thank you" anymore or helps the elderly cross the street or hold the door open for anyone anymore.
My parents brought me up to say "please" and "thank you" and hold the door open for others and respect those around you; I wish there were more parents out there who still taught that.

They may not be cleverer than the young people of yesteryear but definitely they are more informed, got more exposure to worldly knowledge, etc., thanks to elctronic media.
