Why do you come to this conclusion?

Ok. If he didn't say "life" in the song, forget the part about him saying it then, and just answer it, as "Do you think there is any truth in the statement that nothing really matters in life"

To counter a point by an answerer - the song is about a man who killed someone and felt that his life did not matter due to his actions.

It's a perspective issue "Nothing really matters to me.........any way the wind blows"

In the context of the song, I would agree. In real life, I disagree. Everything matters, good or bad. Sometimes you see the impact of your actions/reactions, sometimes you don't. It all matters - action, inaction. As far as how it all plays into the final result - we do not get to see that. It's like a move without closure and no sequel.

Queen was fantastic, Opera at it's best, but I still think of Wayne's World when I hear this now, and I remember Mr. Mercury before Garth.

"Nothing Really Matters" could have been personal to him, under his circumstances. He is missed, along with all his antics,
I really have not come to a conclusion in Life yet.....I.m still trying to find my way out of here.

I enjoyed Freddie Mercury's talent, and enjoyed this and other songs he did. I think everything matters in life. I believe that you have to actively participate in forming your present and future. I have done so and so far am happy with the results.

I think it depends on your philosophy of life. If you are religious than everything matters, but if you are an atheist then it only matters as much as you want it to. It is a very personal decision. For me I am still working this out because I consider myself some sort of Buddhist/Agnostic hybrid with Christian leanings. Talk about complicated.

Nope, because to some individuals the things in their life are very important. To some indivdiuals nothing really does matter. When there's six-seven billion perspectives in the world, the only absolutely true things about personal views is that there are no personal views that are true for everyone

Nope, it is not true nothing in life matters. Everything in life matters. Our choices, our decisions, our thoughts, our speech, our behaviors, our actions, how we treat others, how we treat ourselves...and on and on. It all matters. But the first one I mentioned...our choices...is where it all begins. It is all a choice we are given by God to make. We can choose to not care about anything, or we can choose to care about somethings, or we can choose to care about everything. It all begins with choice.

Read the Bible, especially the book of Proverbs (link below), and see it is all our choice...but the wise will always choose life and care about it; and every aspect of it...and live. The foolish will always choose not to care and perish. This is not my message, this is God's message. Read on. :)

No,...I believe all things matter. It's the little things that fill in the big spaces along the way.
But still love freddie's music just the same!!

I think many things in life matter. How one lives their life, especially. Each one of us can leave this world a better place than we found it if we try. I conclude this after living more than five decades on earth.

The echo began in some indescrible way to undermine her hold on life...it had managed to murmur, Pathos, piety, courage- they exist, but are identical as so is filth. Everything exists, nothing has value.

Everything matters. The song makes point that we will take nothing with us when we go but if nothing truly matters we could not grow spiritually and appreaciate what God has given us.
