how to check wether the agp slot is 4x or 8x either physically or using any software?

In the BIOS, it says if you're using AGP 8X or 4X, but I'm sure that mainboard is AGP8X if it does not have PCI-E.

AGP4X is also back-compatible.

Look in the bios, it has agp slot 4x not 8x. You can put in a card with 8x,its backwards compadible with 4x.
