I only have the old one that comes with one outfit and you can't do anything to change the sim that they start you off with :o\

Sims 2 Body Shop upgrades with each expansion pack, so it is included with your game. If you got NL, then the upgrade for that was installed. If you got OFB, then you got that upgrade installed. It's automatic.
just go to START / Programs / EA GAMES / ...the sims you got latest/ The Body Shop
Body Shop is made for customizing things and turning them into packages. It's not really a catalog of everything in the game.
