First is to make sure there are no fleas. Even one flea can cause distress for a dog with flea allergies. There are some lotions and shampoos to relieve some skin conditions that may help. I used Sulfadene on my Bichon - which seemed to help BUT avoid areas where there is bleeding - cause putting this on those very bad spots made my bichon cry :( :( :( I think it must burn :( Be sure to talk to your vet about this at your next visit. He/she may have some more specific advise for your furbaby.

Use tea-tree shampoo from your vet or any good pet store and follow the instructions on the packet. It works brilliantly, and is the only thing I can use to relieve my cat's itch (caused by food allergy) and now even my own itching on my scalp due to eczema.

Ask your vet.
