I've never quite gotten this, and the only thing I could really come up with is that to see two women together, is soft, and sensual, whereas maybe people see two men together as representing pain and submission? What do you guys think?

But I've noticed it's NOT just straight MEN who feel this way, some straight GIRLS think this way too. Like they're more apt to watch lesbian porn than gay male porn, or they're more apt to TRY lesbian sex than to hear about a gay male friend describe his sex life. I do NOT understand..

I think that homosexual sex from the opposite sex is not that 'near' someone. Maybe I can understand why a girl can love other girls, because that's someting I like. But gay men are closer to home (even if I'm straight), and I wouldn't understand how a man can love a man.
About men liking lesbians or bisexual women, I think that part of it it's because men tend to be more visually stimulated, watching 2 girls having sex is something 'prohibited', and that's a turn on.
Watch any 'straight' porn magazines, you will find at least one pictorials of two women at it, either as a couple or as a 3some.

For one, lesbian relationships tend to be more similar to straight ones; they are far more long lasting that that found between men. I think too, lesbian relationships are far less threatening (socially) to straights for some reason.
I have noticed the same thing you have noticed.
Perhaps a big part of it is that whatever the orientation a man is, he is still a man and his sexuality tends to be more spur of the moment and more assertive than a woman's, so it is hard for straights to envision two highly sexed males together.

I think it's because men get excited by the thought that they can get in between lesbians and "convert" them, while watching two men will turn them gay. Because many men accept lesbians and not gays, they influence women to want be "bi" in order to attract the men. Therefore some women think lesbians are cool but gay men are nasty.

I'm lesbian and loved watching Brokeback Mountain with the two guys kissing and loving one another.Great movie.Not everyone thinks this way.If two guys love each other ,it doesn't bother me.

An unfortunate truth about the society we live in, more people will accept homosexuality in woman than men, and more people will only care about woman's problems, than men's problems.
I honestly don't know what it's about, and I haven't looked into it yet...but it's the truth and...it's pretty stupid.

Because the bible says it is wrong for a man to lay with a man. It doesn't mention a woman laying with a women. So maybe some people unconsciously accept the latter easier.
