Windows XP SP3 is expected in 2007, and then I'd really think about upgrading your RAM - SP3 or no. I used to have 900MHz/128Mb RAM and it drove me nuts. Put as much in as you can afford and as much as your motherboard supports, RAM is cheap as chips per meg these days. It really will give you a boost.

Alternatively, hold off and buy a new PC with bucketloads of RAM which will run Vista when it's released.

Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 does not come out unitl 2007. You may be getting this confused with Office Service Pack 3. Anyway, if your computer came with service pack 2, it should be able to run Service Pack 3. If it came with Service Pack 1, it may be able to. You should check the Microsoft website and see the requirements for SP3. Also, Windows Vista is coming out sometime in the summer of 2007, so maybe you should just wait for it. If you don't want Vista, then again, check the MS website for PC requirements.

I didn't know that there was a Win XP SP3. I only know about SP2.

It will probably work, but 128 MB of RAM is low. Minimum of 256MB is recommended and 512MB would be better.

If you are running XP now I see no reason why not, but I would upgrade the memory to 256mb or higher have you got sp2 installed ?
