Usually, no, but it may. To be safe, purchase a 5.8GHz phone instead of a 2.4 one. Usually on the box of the WiFi router or the phone it will say "Does not interfere with wireless networks (or cordless phones)". Now we have a wireless camera on the 2.4GHz range, and the one channel on it interferes with the WiFi..it totally cuts it off. If you have a decent size or large size house, you should probably get a Wireless G router with the 7 internal antennas (RangeMax). This way it knows what kind of interference there is and switches its broadcasting frequency ever so slightly. (thats what it said).

There are known issues with interference, including (but not limited to) amateur radios, existing microwave towers or antennas, and other 2.4 or 5.8 GHZ wireless devices. If you have a 2.4Ghz cordless phone, you will need to locate it at least 10 feet away from your computer, antenna cable, and/or antenna. Use cordless telephones that use the 900 MHZ and 5.8 GHZ frequencies to reduce interference with your connection.

Hi;Yes it does. How you can avoid this is by buying Panasonic or any good quality wireless phone with 5.8Ghz channel. As wifi works at 2.4 so if you have a wireless phone that also work at this level then you will face problems. You can use a filter to reduce the distortion. Thanks!

it fairly is possible. Even your microwave oven can intervene with alerts in and around the wifi band. you could constantly use a router with an ethernet drop cable and turn the wifi off. I do this in simple terms as a protection element.
