The men or women who come here for the sole purpose of marrying and getting a green card are exactly like you say.Most are ignorant of American ways and can not even speak the language. If we went to their country, they would expect us to speak their language would they not?The people who marry for the right reasons are fine, but the people who come over here to marry for a green card can kiss my All-American White A SS.

To begin with, when you say "coming here" you are speaking to people all over the world. I for one am reading your question in Yahoo!Answers, English version, NOT "United States" version. So the question could surely be, "Who do you think YOU are?"
As to hate, the most hateful posts I've read on this board have been from Americans, born and raised.
Because of those with whom I choose to associate, I have not run across such attitudes as yours in 3D much. Finding them so widespread here has made me far less proud to be an American than I have been in all my years. I guess I have deluded myself into believing that people were better than that.

Let me fill you in on "non-Americans." They do NOT "hate all Americans," or even most Americans. (Just the redneck xenophobes who hate them.) They are kind, decent, hard-working people just trying to make a new life for themselves here in this land of opportunity.
You deride them for making money? What are they supposed to do, sit around and collect welfare? Is that what you think? Well it's a fact that both legal and illegal immigrants actually do contribute more to our economy than they take from any welfare programs.
"Once getting their citizenship and leaving?" WTF does that mean? Any immigrant who goes through the hundreds or thousands of dollars in fees, half-inch-thick stack of paperwork, and years of anxious waiting to become a citizen, is not going to up and leave once they get it. Once they become citizens, "they" become "we".
How do I know all this? I married a foreign woman. She does not hate any Americans aside from the ignorant racists who hate her for no other reason than the location of the land she was born on. She most certainly did not marry me just to get a green card; she was going to college in the US when we met, and it was her intention to return home after getting her degree. Quite frankly, it was an act of courage on her part to decide to stay and make a life here with me; she left behind many friends & family in her native land, and still gets homesick now and then.
Go easy on immigrants. They are normal, decent human beings just trying to make a better life for themselves, same as you or me. Their being here is a net plus not only for our economy, but also for our culture and the overall American experience which benefits greatly from their contributions. Not to mention their fantastic cooking. :-)

these people are not non-americans...they are emmigrants. non-americans are everybody besides the 350 millions who live outside the usa. now...how i feel about them? its each person's choice what to do with his/her life..i wont judge anyone. i think they lived under hard situations, their experiences are tough and we cant just say they arent good people...
