Quite agree. I've always said where do these people ever get the idea from that they can sing when they're obviously shite, and it's even more ridiculous when the family come on and make complete arseholes of themselves too by saying that the judges were wrong. I mean, you'd never get away with writing that for a comedy show, so why do they think they're going to make any difference to the real thing? Going by the looks of some of those sad Mothers and Aunts etc who reckon that their protege are the worlds' best singer, the phrase "One sandwich short of a picnic" springs to mind.......... We sit here and watch (and unfortunately listen) in disbelief at nearly all of the 'acts', most of whom would even get chucked out of a pub if they started singing there, laughing our various bits off! For good comedy, the X-factor is a serious rival to the classics like The Tommy Cooper or Les Dawson shows!

I love the X factor auditions, they are great. To be fair, the girl had already been through about 2 other auditions before she saw the judges, where they have told her she can go forward. Her family should not be encouraging her though, why do they want her to make a fool out of herself?
There is that one on tonight, where those two girls dressed as lions, sing 'The lion sleeps tonight'. I watched a clip of it and it is class.
I loved it the other week as well when that mother - in -law, had a go at Simon and made him say sorry. It was so funny. He looked scared of her!!

It drives me mad. Especially as they always seem to be from the midlands showing us up something rotten.
But considering the contestants have already gone through a couple of auditions just to get to that stage it would anger you wouldn't it.
How after already auditioning they get onto the TV I can't imagine. But it wouldn't be so much fun would it? Although I'd rather just see the half decent ones.

I wish we got the X-Factor in America. I was in London last fall and my host family watched it, and I got hooked as well. (I was lucky... the season finale was on the night before I left to go back home!) I think it's better than American Idol.
