As long as she loses the weight correctly. And correctly means slowly. Giving the elasticity of the skin time to compensate. It also makes a difference for how long this person has been this overweight. As sixteen I don't think she will have a lot of flabby skin but just make sure the weight comes off the right way or she'll gain it all back. Remember, it wasn't gained overnight and you shouldn't lose it overnight.

There are right ways and wrong ways to lose weight. Everyone knows this. If you lose the weight slowly, your skin has time to respond and tighten/shrink during the process. If you lose it fast, your skin does not have the time to do this and you end up with flab.

However, at 16, the body is better able to compensate for such problems than it is at say, 35. It just needs a little help. Exercises that are focused on tonifying rather than strengthening is a start. Making sure that your diet is well-rounded and healthy while free of junk food and heavily processed foods will give your body the nutrients it needs to recover fully.

Consulting with your Natural Healthcare Physician is a must as well. They can give you advice on how to best tighten the skin and what to avoid during the process. There are surgeries available but at 16 that is not a healthy option.

You might have loose skin because you are loosing so much wait rapidly. My boyfriend lost about 55 pounds, and he doesn't ahve much but he has loose skin. He is now working on trying to tightenm that up.

Skin stretches and shrinks.. more so when you're young. My buddy lost almost an entire "self" and has a little extra skin but it's getting less all the time.
